History Like Never BeforeA little over two years ago, a renovated Fort Bend Museum officially opened to the public, thanks to the help of many supporters like you. And while our new building was completed in July 2021, the transformation of our museum space was only just beginning. A new physical space, it seems, was just the start.
The Museum, courtyard, and Historic Moore Home form a unified and compelling campus, a community hub of sorts, for gatherings and interaction. That idea will fully take shape on April 6 when our annual gala evolves from “Lone Star Stomp” to “A Night in the Garden.” I encourage you to circle that date and become part of something truly spectacular. Moving forward, donors can impact the amount of children served through field trips, community members touched through outreach events, and visitors who leave the museum with an experience that celebrates the past, lifts up the present and inspires an even better future. There is so much to embrace, celebrate, and support in Fort Bend County. Looking ahead to how our history association can be the catalyst in telling everyone’s stories makes me truly excited. We need your help to fulfill our mission and serve the Fort Bend community. For a long-term impact, become a true Historian, with a giving commitment of as little as $10 a month. Recognition, gratitude, and fame will follow (well the first two for sure). Will you make a meaningful donation or become a Historian with a recurring monthly donation that will have a lasting impact on the children, families and community that visit the Fort Bend Museum?
